Great trip in 20 hours to Paris and our luggage arrived.
Afternoon stroll around the sites and sights of Paris and to notre Dame cathedral. Grand exterior and inspirational interior... filtered light through thousands of stained glass windows, vaulted ceilings....lefet a very deep inmpression.
By accident walked down the Rue de St Jacques ( st james street) where it is told that pilgrims set out from the cathedral on pillgrimmage...
OFF TOMORROW TO THE PYRANEES TO START OUR PILGRIMMAGE

ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work with the blog Jim.
Hi Jim and Betty My daughter Clare sent me the news (via Marg) that you had begun your pilgrimage. I was so excited to know that you were going to travel the same route that I took last year, and it is wonderful that you are doing it on behalf of the St James Community. I shall follow your journey with great interest, and once you get over the Pyrenees the Basque country is beautiful. Take time to enjoy the journey and embrace the life of a pilgrim I'm planning on going again next year - along a different route Ultreya !Ann I
ReplyDeleteHi Ann
ReplyDeleteI searched for you on the net to see if you had anything on your trip.Great to hear from you
I hope the St James thing doesn´t sound too pretentious. I am doing it this way obviously for study trip purposes but I have been caught up in the St james moment.
It must be addictive if you are going again.
We are not sure of how far we will get and it´s one day at a time so far.
Made the Pyranees ..so far so good
happy trails
